Brian Nelson gets first official TreeHugger Wood floor.
Brian & I have been buddies since we were 15 yrs old! Cool.
You might recognize Brian from the recent Tornado page a couple of weeks ago.  Anyway, as that page said, Brian was over to pick up some flooring that he and I put in his new house.  So...since the Tornado, we have installed & finished our first floor!  The photos don't do it justice.

However, I've got a few more below and they all are so delightfully different.

Well, the floor you see came from wood that grew on our homeplace.  8 different Walkertown, NC species of tree. We took the trees down - if they weren't already (remember Worst First!).  We pulled them to the mill in a non-destructive manner.  We worked them up on the sawmill, put them in the field to air dry, put them in the solar kiln (we built), edged them, and then worked them up with a planer and a four sided planer/molder to be what you see. Finally, we - with Brian's help - installed those boards in his house.  Lots of work but...Wow!  Do I sound excited?  You bet!
More pictures below.  Lighting is as difficult as you-know-what for floor photos.  So...there are some slight differences between photos but that - of course - is not on purpose.  We love to show them off in real life, so get offline and on over and we'll give you one of our nickel tours.

Thanks for stopping by.  The photos don't do it justice but I hope it gets the idea across.  Oh yeah and once again, sorry for some of the inconsistencies in the lighting.  If you can do better and you work cheap, let me know.  If you want more info on the floors, write me daniel@stuffwedo.com

Yeah, yeah, I know...this is a repeat of one above but I could not resist.
Also, I think this is very close to accurate.
Not perfect but one of the better in terms of coloring.
